Leadership & Management Training for Law Firm Operational Leaders
Equip the people who run your firm’s business functions to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and turn priorities into consistent execution.

Turn functional expertise
into leadership capability.
LeadWise Group provides leadership and management training for law firm operational leaders, including supervisors, managers, directors, and chiefs across finance, IT, marketing and business development, HR, operations, pricing, conflicts, and other business functions.
Our programs build the knowledge, shared language, and practical skills leaders need to manage people, work across departments, influence senior stakeholders, and support the firm’s priorities. The curriculum is tailored to participants’ roles and the realities of a partnership environment.
Training can stand alone or be combined with coaching, peer learning, assessments, and reinforcement to help participants apply new skills in their day-to-day work.

PROGRAMMING PATHWAYS
Match development
to the work leaders need to do.
Programs can be delivered as individual segments or combined into a sequenced development experience.

Support the transition into formal leadership with leader identity, managing up and across, accountability, productivity, influence, and collaboration.
02
Executive Leadership
Directors & chiefs
Develop leadership presence, strategic decision-making, managing and developing leaders, department alignment, leading change, and influencing senior stakeholders.
03
People Management
Leaders at all levels
Strengthen motivation and engagement, expectations, delegation, feedback, coaching, difficult conversations, and performance management.
04
High-Performing Team Development
Teams & leaders
Create focused time for strategic alignment, team dynamics, working agreements, communication standards, trust, accountability, and action planning.
PROGRAM FORMATS & DELIVERY
A focused session.
Or a connected development pathway.
Programs are available virtually or in person. We recommend the scope and format around the participants, desired outcomes, and resources already in place.
Workshops, series & keynotes
Choose an individual program within your curriculum, a focused sequence of workshops, or a keynote for a firm meeting, retreat, or conference.
Cohort training & coaching
A typical 12-month program can include a DiSC assessment to explore Natural Management Style, live master classes, group and/or individual coaching, and LeadWise Portal access with video curriculum, tools, and resources.
Multi-year programs & competency design
Connect leadership training and coaching over a longer development pathway. Consulting can support a firm-specific competency model for business professionals and its implementation.
FROM LEARNING TO LEADERSHIP BEHAVIOR
Practice the skills
in the moments that matter.
Participants can work with situations such as competing partner requests, a difficult feedback conversation, a cross-department initiative, or a team that needs clearer expectations.
Individual coaching provides focused support for a participant’s role and goals. Group or cohort coaching adds peer learning, structured problem-solving, relationships across departments and offices, and shared accountability.
Training builds knowledge and skills. Practice, feedback, reinforcement, and coaching help participants turn that knowledge into consistent leadership behavior.
HOW WE SUPPORT & REVIEW GROWTH
Look for changes
in how leaders manage and execute.
For development programs, the review approach is agreed with the firm and can include the following elements.
01
Establish a baseline
Participants assess current confidence and capability in leadership and management. A DiSC Management Profile can provide insight into Natural Management Style.
02
Set development priorities
Identify the behaviors, challenges, and outcomes most important to strengthen. Focus the learning and support around those priorities.
03
Review application
Explore how participants use new tools and approaches in everyday work. Coaching conversations help surface obstacles and support continued execution.
04
Assess progress
Use structured end-of-program assessments and an agreed stakeholder update to discuss shifts in confidence, capability, and application. Additional feedback can be included where useful.
Optional measures can include 360 or upward feedback, stakeholder interviews, manager observations, and relevant team indicators.
OPERATIONAL LEADER EXPERIENCES
Practical learning.
Greater confidence leading others.
More confidence as a manager.
“Even if you already feel comfortable managing others, the program pushes you to focus on the harder parts of management. It gave me greater confidence in how I lead and manage my team.”
Learning from peers facing similar challenges.
“Going through the program with a cohort was incredibly valuable. I learned not only from the content, but from hearing how others were handling similar management challenges on their own teams.”
Tools, perspective, and support to become a better manager.
“The combination of practical tools, resources, and unbiased feedback gave me a much clearer sense of how I can continue becoming a stronger manager.”

COMMON QUESTIONS
Planning training for
your operational leaders.
Who is this training designed for?
Law firm supervisors, managers, directors, chiefs, and business professionals with leadership responsibilities. Participants can come from a single department or from functions such as finance, IT, marketing and business development, HR, operations, pricing, and conflicts.
How is it different from leadership training for lawyers?
The program focuses on leading law firm business teams and functions: managing people and department responsibilities, influencing partners and other stakeholders, collaborating across functions, and translating firm priorities into execution. The examples and application are tailored to operational roles.
What does the Leaders @ Law framework cover?
It connects Leader Identity, People Management, Productivity & Performance, Leadership Impact, and Strategic Thinking. The first three provide foundations at every level; the latter two take on greater emphasis as leaders assume more senior responsibilities.
Can the program be tailored for managers or senior leaders?
Yes. Leadership Foundations supports supervisors and managers. Executive Leadership addresses directors and chiefs. People Management and High-Performing Team Development can focus on a particular audience or be combined with other segments.
How does training differ from executive coaching?
Training builds knowledge, shared language, frameworks, and practical skills. Executive coaching focuses on an individual’s goals and real-world leadership challenges. Group or individual coaching can reinforce training and support application between sessions.
Can we choose a workshop instead of a year-long program?
Yes. Options include individual workshops, a focused series, keynotes, cohort programs, and multi-year development pathways. We discuss the participants, goals, existing curriculum, and desired level of support before recommending a scope.
LET’S DISCUSS YOUR BUSINESS LEADERS
