Yuliya (“YOO-lee-uh“) LaRoe is a trusted advisor to law firms and professional services firms, helping them turn their talent into a competitive advantage for the firm. She is the founder and CEO of LeadWise Group, an award-winning strategic talent development consulting firm for the professional services industry. As a consultant, executive coach, and former BigLaw attorney, Yuliya works with firm leaders to tackle the challenges that impact retention, performance, and growth—ensuring their people have the skills, structure, and support to excel.

With deep expertise in leadership development, people and practice management, and business development, Yuliya has helped clients align individual performance with firm strategy, ensuring long-term success through stronger leadership, efficient practice management, and sustainable business growth. Originally from Russia, Yuliya holds a Russian law degree from Far Eastern Federal University, an American law degree from the University of Southern California School of Law, and an MBA degree from Boston University Questrom School of Business.

Yuliya received her coaching education from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching and was credentialed by the International Coaching Federation as a Professional Certified Coach. She is a Certified Master Practitioner of the Energy Leadership Index assessment and a Certified Everything DiSC Workplace® Facilitator.

FUN FACTS ABOUT YULIYA

After moving to the United States in the late 1990s, Yuliya spent 15 years in Southern California. She now calls the Miami area her home, where she resides with her husband and a brood of mischievous pets. Yuliya is an avid international traveler. She speaks 2.5 languages (English, Russian, and some Spanish – enough to make her way through Spain and Latin America). She is passionate about personal growth and cultural intelligence.

Something few people know about Yuliya is that in one year, she spent two months volunteering in Costa Rica, traveled to South Korea and Russia, completed a four-month yoga teacher certification course, backpacked around India for a month, and attended a 10-day silent meditation retreat!
